The Mayo Clinic Gastroenterology and Hepatology Board Review book has been designed to provide a review of core essential knowledge in gastroenterology, hepatology, and relevant related areas of radiology, pathology, endoscopy and nutrition to physicians, trainees and other persons caring for patients, gastroenterology fellows in training, medical residents, medical students, gastrointestinal assistants, nurses, and allied health care personnel. Clinical knowledge to enhance patient management, rather than the latest scientific advances is emphasized. For persons preparing for their board examination, certification or recertification, case-based presentations and numerous board examination-type single best-answer questions with annotated answers are provided. Abundant figures, images and tables are also included. The faculty authoring this book are all Mayo Clinic gastroenterologists and hepatologists who spend most of their time caring for patients and teaching in an academic environment.

Similar to the first edition, the goal of Mayo Clinic Gastrointestinal Imaging Review, 2nd Edition is to provide an atlas of common abnormalities that affect the gastrointestinal tract. This comprehensive review includes all imaging modalities used within GI radiology, as well as plain radiographs, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, CT, MR, angiography, and nuclear medicine. Focusing solely on adult conditions, the book is divided into 13 chapters covering a separate organ within the gastrointestinal system and a final exam chapter reviewing all chapter content. Each organ-focused chapter is subdivided into sections related to diseases or findings of that organ. Running headers allow the reader to rapidly identify the chapter and the section being viewed. Large, high-quality images are presented in a format so that they can be reviewed as unknowns. A discussion of the cases is presented as if it were a consultation-- with a description of the findings, differential diagnosis, and final diagnosis. A brief discussion of the disease is included. Emphasis is placed on brevity of the text and a single-page layout for all but a few cases. Study guides at the end of each section are in the form of tables summarizing major radiographic findings into differential considerations with brief imaging clues to a specific diagnosis and case references within the book. The end of each chapter lists differential diagnoses for the chapter's specific organ. Full-color composite anatomical illustrations show the immediately obvious appearance of common conditions that correlate with major radiologic findings.

Mayo Clinic Internal Medicine Board Review, 10th edition, is designed to meet the needs of physicians-in-training and practicing clinicians by updating their knowledge of internal medicine and preparing them for the ABIM certification and maintenance-of-certification examinations in internal medicine. For the 10th edition, contributors were asked to map chapters according to ABIM goals. At least 50 percent of the material will be new, with the remainder changed and updated. The redesign is intended to cover all ABIM goals while streamlining the text to make it more user-friendly. Large chapters have been broken up into smaller content-oriented chapters to facilitate shorter, more focused study opportunities. This book is divided into subspecialty topics (eg, allergy, cardiology, dermatology, etc) and cross-content topics related to general internal medicine (eg, men's health, women's health, geriatrics, etc). Questions and answers have been pulled from the main text to a companion book of Q&As to facilitate study.
